Barings strengthens European real estate team with new hires

Barings has made several new hires in Germany and the Netherlands to support its growth across Europe.

Jochen Becht joins as a director in asset management. He previously held asset management roles at firms including Allgemeine Hypotheken Bank Rheinboden, Goldman Sachs/Archon, and AXA Investment Managers.

Leon Kräuter (pictured) joins as an analyst in asset management from d.i.i. where he was also part of the asset management team.

Nikolaus Trotzky and Viktor Ophoven have both been recruited to Barings’ transaction management team. Trotzky joins as a senior associate from LGT Capital Partners and Ophoven joins from Peakside Capital.

Meanwhile, Rens Versteeg joins the Benelux real estate asset management and transactions team from the Havenstad Group where he was an investment manager.
