Bidwells has strengthened its retail and leisure team with the appointment of James Taylor from McDonald’s as partner.
At McDonald’s, Taylor was senior estates surveyor responsible for managing and optimising the company’s operational property portfolio.
Prior to this, he held roles at Carter Jonas and Cushman & Wakefield, where he specialised in shopping centre development and leasing, advising clients across a range of retail and leisure assets.
In his new role, Taylor will work across the firm’s retail and leisure offer, focusing on strengthening relationships with landlords and occupiers.
Taylor said: “Joining Bidwells marks a great opportunity to return to the Cambridge market. Developing relationships with both landlords and occupiers across the Golden Triangle is a key focus of mine and I’m looking forward to contributing to the team’s continued growth and supporting clients as the retail landscape evolves.”
James Lankfer, head of retail and leisure at Bidwells, added: “James brings an excellent blend of agency, development, asset management and in-house experience, with a strong track record advising on in and out of town institutional assets and delivering complex solutions for those assets. His understanding of both occupier and landlord priorities will be a real benefit to our existing and new clients across the Golden Triangle.”
