Bourne Capital has been given the go-ahead for a 315,000 sq ft workspace and culture-focused development adjacent to Waterloo Station in London.
The London Borough of Lambeth signed off on the company’s proposals for the development, which includes 18,000 sq ft of affordable workspace, including a not-for-profit recording studio operation managed by Ronnie Scott’s Charitable Foundation, alongside a new double-height creative auditorium and performance space for use by the local community.
Designed by Buckley Gray Yeoman, the all-electric development will feature what Bourne Capital claims is the UK’s first integrated solar-façade system. The developer is targeting BREEAM Outstanding and WELL Platinum certifications for the scheme.
