British Land has completed a flurry of F&B and leisure lettings at Meadowhall totalling more than 60,000 sq ft.

In a regional first, Wingstop UK has signed for a 4,574 sq ft unit on Meadowhall’s Lower Level Oasis and adjacent to its unit, Vue has renewed the lease on its 43,304 sq ft site with extensive refit works underway.

In addition, independent speciality coffee company Bean has signed for a permanent 60-seat central mall unit at the entrance to Lower Level Oasis and a pop-up ‘iced’ concept on the centre’s Upper Level High Street.

Japanese restaurant concept Maki & Ramen has also taken a 1,846 sq ft space on Upper Level Oasis, local operator Suburb has selected a 2,791 sq ft space on Meadowhall’s Upper Level Oasis, Yorkshire-inspired eatery Harriet’s has taken a 2,412 sq ft kiosk in front of the Frasers department store and long-term tenant Frankie & Benny’s has also recommitted to Meadowhall, with a refit of its 4,187 sq ft restaurant on Upper Level Oasis.

Richard Crowther, retail leasing director at British Land, said: “Meadowhall’s line-up of over 50 places to eat and drink is a significant reason our visitors choose to return to the destination time and time again. The latest 60,000 sq ft of F&B and leisure deals reflect Meadowhall’s regional dominance amongst shopping centres, continuing to attract investment from international and local brands, be they new or longstanding operators.”
