Broadland Properties has let a 140,825 sq ft unit at Whitehall Road Industrial Estate in Leeds to an unnamed local business on a 15-year lease.

The property comprises 98,888 sq ft of warehouse space with office space on the ground and first floor.

Gidon Amar, from Broadland Properties, said: “We’re grateful to Avison Young for finding the best occupier for Leeds 140. Whitehall Road is a thriving industrial estate, and we’re pleased that the unit was able to be leased to a local business, to help them take their growth strategy forward and into the future.”

Jake Pygall, director – industrial, at Avison Young Leeds, which was instructed to bring the property to market earlier this year, added: “This letting of 140,000 sq ft of prime space in Leeds is testament to Yorkshire’s fast-growing industrial market following a difficult 2024, and it is encouraging to see momentum continuing as we move towards the second half of the year. The unit is ideally located to support the new tenant’s ambitious growth plans, and it’s great to see a local business expand its operations.”

Gavin Ritchie at GV & Co, which also acted on behalf of the landlord, said: “It was a pleasure to be involved in both the lease surrender and the new letting of this prominent industrial building. Securing the new tenant was a great team effort, especially given the complexity of the transaction.”
