Camden Vision has secured planning consent for the mixed-use Camden Town Xchange development.
Designed by AHMM, Camden Town Xchange will deliver a high quality cultural venue alongside 49 affordable homes and 244 student studios.
The 1,000 sq m flexible cultural and leisure space sits at the heart of the proposed scheme and will replace the former Mecca Bingo unit and the ODEON Camden Parkway cinema, which is scheduled to close in spring 2026.
The development will replace largely blank frontages with active street-level uses, introducing new restaurants, shops, cafés and green spaces.
