An unnamed national food manufacturer has taken two units comprising 13,480 sq ft of industrial space at Portland Drive in Shirebrook.

The company has signed a 10-year lease on the newly built units, which form part of a larger development comprising two phases and 14 units. Six units are currently available to let at the development ranging between 1,615 sq ft and 14,864 sq ft.

Luke Epps, from Savills’ commercial agency team in Nottingham, which acted for the landlord on the letting, said: “We are very pleased to have secured the letting on behalf of the client; the units are built to an excellent specification, incorporating a superb eaves height, which was quickly identified by the tenant to house their new HQ. The combined units offered the ability to bring their manufacturing in-house, which is an integral part of their future.

“Both parties worked to tight timeframes to ensure minimal disruption to the business was caused. There continues to be a constrained supply of top quality stock within Shirebrook and the North Notts area, with little new developments in the pipeline, and we expect the remaining units to attract strong interest.”
