Harworth Group has appointed Tony Quinlan as an independent non-executive director, effective 1 June 2026.
Quinlan has extensive executive and non-executive UK plc experience across the retail, energy, renewables, technology and industrial sectors and was previously CEO of Laird, where he led a successful turnaround and subsequent sale of the business in 2018 to global private equity firm Advent International. Prior to that, he was group finance director of Drax Group from 2008 to 2015.
He is currently chair of NextEnergy Solar Fund and serves as senior independent director on the boards of FTSE 250 constituents Costain Group and Hill & Smith.
Alastair Lyons, chair of Harworth, said: “Tony joins us with an enviable near 35-year track record, in both c-suite and non-executive roles across M&A, corporate governance, business transformation, major infrastructure development, international expansion and equity raising activity. Combined with his energy, industrials and renewables experience, he will be well placed to add significant value to the board as we continue delivering on our strategic growth ambitions.”
