HBD has secured planning consent for a new £37m GDV industrial and logistics development on a 10-acre site in Skelmersdale, Lancashire.

The company will now bring forward a 245,000 sq ft unit called TWO45 on the site, which is located just two minutes from the M58 and M6. HBD, which is part of Henry Boot, acquired the site in 2021 and submitted a planning application late last year.

Ed Hutchinson, managing director of HBD, said: “Grade A industrial and logistics space remains constrained in prime locations, so it’s positive to be able to bring TWO45 forward. We have seen strong interest from occupiers, particularly given its ESG credentials, and look forward to starting on site next year.”
