The construction industry is in the grips of an insolvency crisis, exacerbated by a lack of organisational resilience and a payment culture not fit for purpose. The sector’s woes have been made worse by the collapse last September of ISG, which severely affected subcontractors, employees and clients, and echoed the demise of Carillion in January 2018.
