Property and construction consultancy McBains has appointed Grant Harden as a director within its building services engineering division.

Harden, who has more than 40 years’ experience as a building services engineer, joins the company from CalfordSeadon where he was a partner, having previously worked at MLM Group (Sweco) and Inviron.

Rolfe Jackson, head of building services engineering, said: “I’m thrilled that Grant has joined us to strengthen the building services division’s management team and to assist in its further expansion and development, supporting both myself and Chris Stevens. Grant brings a wealth of experience to the division and, with a specialism in electrical building services design, adds to the management team’s technical ability.”

Mark Leeson, operations director at McBains, added: “We’re delighted to have appointed Grant to McBains and look forward to his integration into the business. Our building services engineering team has grown considerably over the last few years and we’re confident that Grant will be instrumental in supporting us as we continue to drive that growth forward.”

Harden said: “I’m incredibly excited to have joined McBains and look forward to collaborating with my colleagues from across the business to secure new project opportunities and deliver first-class inter-disciplinary performance.”
