Quadrant has received planning permission for a new 100,000 sq ft logistics unit at its 410,000 sq ft leisure-led mixed-use Star City complex in Birmingham.
A planning committee voted unanimously in favour of Quadrant’s proposals which will see part of the 23-acre site fronting the M6 motorway and some of the scheme’s existing leisure space replaced by the logistics unit.
The developer, which purchased Star City in 2016, was recently granted permission for a new 4,000 sq ft drive thru restaurant at the scheme and a 39,000 sq ft electric go-karting track. Quadrant have also successfully regeared long term leases with anchor tenants Vue and Tenpin.
