Sir Robert McAlpine is deploying AI technology platform Buildots across a number of its UK sites.

Using wearable 360-degree cameras, Buildots captures data and generates “true-to-life” project progress reports, identifying risks of delays and opportunities for productivity gains.

The technology has already been rolled out across a number of Sir Robert McAlpine sites, including the new BEACH Building project at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital.

Nick Leach, director of digital construction at Sir Robert McAlpine, said: “A partnership with an innovative platform such as Buildots aligns perfectly with our growing emphasis on delivering data-driven, efficient and sustainable projects. This type of technology is a great tool, which allows us to deliver value to our clients and the communities that we work within.”

Roy Danon, CEO and co-founder of Buildots, said: “Sir Robert McAlpine’s decision to add Buildots to its list of preferred suppliers is a really meaningful testament to the benefits we have been able to provide them on multiple sites. We look forward to bringing that transparency and efficiency to many future projects with Sir Robert McAlpine and other leading construction firms in the UK and internationally.”
