Arax Properties and Eurazeo have submitted a planning application for a new 104,700 sq ft urban logistics development in Chessington, South West London.
The Base scheme will comprise seven units ranging in size from 9,400 sq ft to 24,600 sq ft. The joint venture partners are targeting EPC A and BREEAM Excellent ratings for the units, which will feature photovoltaic power generation and EV charging.
Ground is expected to be broken on the scheme in Q2 2024, with completion due in Q1 2025.
Giles Morse, partner at Arax Properties, said: “We are delighted to be investing into Chessington, bringing new employment opportunities and adding significant economic value to an area starved of high quality industrial development.”
Claudia Harley, associate partner at DTRE, added: “Base, Chessington was designed to meet the evolving needs of businesses in the region. This scheme will provide modern, ESG focused units in a strategic location appealing to a range of occupiers.”
Alex Gale, senior partner at SHW, said: “This development of business units will fill a much needed gap in the market for high quality industrial and logistics buildings in a strategic South West London location.”
