BNP Paribas Real Estate has promoted Elaine Murphy to the role of head of occupier strategy.

In the newly created role, Murphy, who has been a director within the firm’s occupier solutions division for almost 25 years, will work closely with the company’s senior client base to advise on the delivery of their long-term goals.

She will be based in the company’s London Marylebone campus and will work closely with Tom Bolland, head of occupier solutions, to develop new business strategies and promotional opportunities for the team internally and externally. Murphy will also work closely with relationship managers at BNP Paribas bank to unlock cross-selling opportunities.

Bolland said: “Producing a well-articulated property strategy can identify previously unconsidered options, highlight areas of neglect and an action to improve the performance of portfolios. This enables real estate solutions to be developed, which are integral to the business strategy and adding value. Aligning your occupational portfolios with your operational requirements ensures that the needs of your business, staff and customers are met cost effectively.

“Elaine has a clear vision of where our growth opportunities lie and the experience and relationships to assist me in bolstering our positioning in the market. She has played a fundamental role in forming connections at the most senior levels of our major client base, and so it was a natural progression to create this role to make her the link between themselves and our team.”

Murphy added: “I’m taking this step up into a role at a time where clients are seeking more widespread services and expertise across the board. As such, I will act as a liaison between the two in terms of conceptualising and delivering on their objectives. Following our Marylebone campus move, I look forward to continuing our cross-selling trajectory working closer with the bank relationship managers on a daily basis, and across the other entities of our business.”
