Homes England has signed two building leases with The Hill Group and Bellway to bring forward the latest phases of homes at the Brookleigh development in Burgess Hill.
The Hill Group will deliver 270 homes along with a 60-bed extra care facility and affordable accommodation for older residents and Bellway will build 30 homes at Mansion Gardens on the site of the former Woodfield House. This is in addition to the 247 homes under construction by Bellway at Fallow Wood View to the south of Woodfield House.
Neil Miller, head of development – south at Homes England, which is the master developer at Brookleigh, said: “Signing the building leases for the two latest phases of the Brookleigh masterplan is a major milestone for the team, and we’re looking forward to both The Hill Group and Bellway starting on site in due course. These phases are diverse and significant in their scope, representing a key part of our long-term commitment to delivering a place where people can truly thrive – bringing forward new homes, amenities and public spaces designed to meet local need and create a lasting community.”

In that time, we have witnessed the new community forming, created employment opportunities and delivered wildlife enhancements. The agreement for Woodfield House demonstrates Bellway’s ongoing commitment to Brookleigh, where we will continue to build low carbon homes using sustainable modern methods of construction. It is anticipated that Hill and Bellway will begin on site in 2026.”
