BNP Paribas Real Estate’s UK CEO Mark England is leaving the business after almost 40 years.
Gary Higgins (pictured), MD of Strutt & Parker, will become interim CEO of BNP Paribas RE UK while the board undertakes a formal succession process. England will remain as a senior adviser during a transition period to ensure a smooth handover.
Higgins has significant senior leadership experience and previously led Strutt & Parker and its Elevate Plan. He will be supported by Nico Keller, who will continue in his role as deputy CEO and head of capital markets in Germany while assuming the additional responsibility of interim head of UK advisory. Keller’s first priority will be to hire a new head of UK advisory and strengthen the firm’s London transactional business.
Jean-Maxime Jouis, CEO of BNP Paribas Real Estate, said: “This structure brings together proven senior leadership, strong UK market experience, international expertise and excellent existing management talent. It gives the UK business continuity, stability and clear client focus while we continue to deliver against our strategic priorities.”
