Cameron Homes has forward sold 66 family homes for £15m to emh Group at its £40m Hawksley Rise development in Redhill, Nottinghamshire.
The acquisition will enable the build programme to be accelerated, ahead of the public sales launch in February 2027. The homes will comprise 28 two-bedroom houses, 32 three-bedroom plots and six four-bedroom designs designated for social rent and shared ownership.
Elliott Lawley, senior land manager for Tara Group and Cameron Homes, said: “Deals like this are exactly what the government is seeking, in order to deliver the 90,000 affordable homes required across the UK each year. We purchased this site with detailed planning in place, and alongside making an immediate start to the construction programme, we sought an RP partner through a competitive tender process.
“We are very pleased to be working with emh Group to help meet the local demand for single family homes for social rent and shared ownership. The scale of this deal will enable us to increase the intensity of our construction programme, with the two-year build providing a boost to the economy across north east Nottinghamshire.”
Chris Jones, executive director of housing and development at emh Group said: “We are thrilled to announce this strategic acquisition, which will see 66 wonderful new family houses made available to local people who need them most. We’ve selected the Hawksley Rise development because it’s so well located for community facilities, schooling and transport, while also having the benefit of a children’s play area on site. We are delighted to be working in partnership with Cameron Homes to deliver high quality homes that residents can be proud of and look forward welcoming the first residents early next year.”
