Blackstar Real Estate has been appointed asset manager for a portfolio of UK retail assets.

The portfolio comprises Market Place in Bolton, Waverley Market in Edinburgh and Rutherglen Exchange in Glasgow. Market Place is a 430,000 sq ft retail scheme anchored by Primark, Next and H&M; Waverley Market, located next to the Princes Street and Waverley Station, is home to a variety of independent and national occupiers; and Rutherglen Exchange serves as a core convenience retail destination for the local community.

Blackstar Real Estate will be responsible for delivering asset management strategies across all three schemes with a focus on income optimisation, leasing activity, tenant mix enhancement and identifying opportunities to reposition and future-proof the assets in line with evolving retail and consumer trends.

Sabri Marsaoui, from Blackstar Real Estate, said: “We are delighted to have been appointed to manage these three important retail assets. Each scheme presents a distinct opportunity to apply our hands-on asset management approach, strengthen tenant engagement and drive long-term value. We look forward to working closely with the stakeholders to enhance performance and fulfil their true potential.”
