Global law firm Faegre Drinker has taken approximately 14,500 sq ft on a 10-year lease at Mitsubishi Estate London and Stanhope’s 8 Bishopsgate in the City of London.
The deal is the latest in a series of lettings at the development. CITIC CLSA signed a 15-year lease on circa 16,000 sq ft earlier this month, while in January, global reinsurance provider SCOR took approximately 50,000 sq ft over two and a half floors, AEW signed a 10-year lease for 8,540 sq ft, BancTrust & Co took 8,250 sq ft on a 10-year lease and Helios Towers signed for 12,000 sq ft on Level 21 on a 10-year lease. In December, insurance company CFC signed for 90,000 sq ft at the building.
Shinichi Kagitomi, managing director of Mitsubishi Estate London, said: “Faegre Drinker will join an existing roster of top tier legal and professional services occupiers who have chosen 8 Bishopsgate as their home and we look forward to playing our part in their continued success.”
David Camp, chief executive of Stanhope, added: “This collaboration underscores Stanhope’s dedication to creating environments that support innovation and business growth. We believe that 8 Bishopsgate’s cutting-edge design and carefully considered location will provide Faegre Drinker with an ideal setting for their continued success.”
Alex Denny, partner and London office leader at Faegre Drinker, said: “This move demonstrates the firm’s unwavering dedication to serving our clients located in – or doing business in – the UK and Europe. Enhancing our London footprint affirms our commitment to growth in this crucial market, and we look forward to sharing the outstanding experience of the space with clients, firm professionals and guests.”
