A Grade II* listed wedding venue in Nottinghamshire has been put up for sale with a guide price of £2.5m.
Joint fixed charge receivers Andrew Foster and Chris Walker have instructed Christie & Co and Watling Real Estate to sell The Lakeside venue in Mansfield Road, Arnold.
The property has been subject to a multi-million pound renovation and comprises a main venue, a former pumping station overlooking the lake and manicured gardens, and West Lodge, a Grade II listed cottage. A sale of the business and its assets by separate agreement may be considered.
Toby O’Sullivan, director in Watling’s Birmingham office, said: “The Lakeside is a regional landmark, characterised by the striking Thomas Hawksley tower, and is located in an attractive setting, overlooking a picturesque ornamental lake, parkland, and landscaped gardens. The Lakeside was intended to be a restaurant, bar and wedding venue but the property lends itself to a variety of alternative uses, subject to planning permission.
“It occupies a prominent position on the A60 Mansfield Road, approximately six miles north of Nottingham city centre and seven miles from Junctions 26 and 27 of the M1.”
