Hammerson has secured planning consent for the redevelopment of an underutilised car park adjacent to the Bullring in Birmingham.
Edgbaston Street Gardens has the potential to deliver up to 745 apartments or 1,544 student rooms, or a blend of the two.
The scheme will also feature new green spaces, amenities and commercial space alongside improved public realm.
Detailed plans will be determined ahead of the start of demolition work in late 2027, with construction potentially commencing in 2028.
