London Square has submitted a planning application to transform a former office block in Wimbledon into a residential-led development.
Constructed in 1989, the vacant Wimbledon Bridge House was acquired by London Square earlier this year and stands in a prominent position opposite Wimbledon train station.
Designed by Fourfoursixsix Architects, the plans will see the existing building extended and reconfigured to deliver 123 studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, circa 27,000 sq ft of commercial space and improvements at street level.

By repurposing Wimbledon Bridge House, a vacant office block in a largely suburban borough, we can make a meaningful contribution to housing supply in Merton. The scheme seeks to enhance the local townscape and reduce carbon impact by preserving the building’s structure and maximising retained embodied carbon, while modernising the façade.”
