Aviva Investors has completed two office lettings totalling circa 18,000 sq ft at 101 Moorgate in the City of London.

Nordea Bank and VIRTUS Data Centres have each signed for nearly 9,000 sq ft of space at the development, which is now approximately 90% let, with just one office floor remaining.

The building, which is a joint venture between Aviva Investors and Allianz, whose participation is managed by PIMCO Prime Real Estate, provides more than 70,000 sq ft of office and retail space over ground and eight upper floors.

It has an EPC A rating and Aviva is targeting NABERS 5* and BREEAM Outstanding certifications for the building.

Ed Atterwill, head of Central London at Aviva Investors, said: “We believe 101 Moorgate sets a benchmark for prime office development in the City, and we are very pleased to welcome Nordea Bank and VIRTUS Data Centres as occupiers alongside ABN AMRO and Arcus Infrastructure Partners. These lettings are a further endorsement of the building’s quality and of the continued demand for modern, sustainable workspace in exceptional locations. Together, we think these qualities will support the long-term resilience and performance of the asset.”

Niki Dembitz, head of UK and Ireland at PIMCO Prime Real Estate, added: “We believe the addition of Nordea Bank and VIRTUS Data Centres underlines the appeal of high quality, well-connected and sustainable workplaces. Working with tenants to support the long-term resilience of an asset is central to creating value for our clients and stakeholders.”
