Telford Homes has received a resolution to grant planning consent for a BTR-led development on a 4.82-acre site in Ilford.
The local planning committee voted in favour of the proposals for Chapel Place, which will see in excess of 1,000 new homes delivered. The site will provide a combination of BTR, affordable housing and PBSA set within a new landscaped public realm, with a new public park at the heart of the development. The scheme will also be supported by new commercial spaces and a new Sainsbury’s store.
Caroline Radford, BTR development director at Telford Homes, said: “We are delighted to have received a resolution to grant planning consent for the Chapel Place development in Ilford. The scheme will allow us to deliver much needed news homes as well as significantly improving the public realm and commercial offering for the area, which is on the cusp of significant regeneration, driven by the opening of Crossrail.
“With rental demand already outstripping supply, this acquisition represents a significant growth opportunity as we continue to expand our build to rent pipeline. We believe this opportunity has all of the characteristics to enable Telford Homes to deliver a best-in-class product in Ilford and to deliver on our commitment to building sustainable communities.”
