Leeds City Council has approved McLaren Property’s plans for the conversion of the Grade II listed Springfield House in Leeds into a 334-bed purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) scheme.
The building, which is situated adjacent to the University of Leeds campus, will house a gym and wellness area, study spaces, games room and entertaining kitchen/dining spaces.
The development, which was designed by Cartwright Pickard Architects, will also see the refurbished Springfield House complemented by two new wings providing 140 studios and 194 cluster bedrooms.

We have worked diligently with our design team and Leeds City Council to ensure Springfield House will deliver best-in-class student accommodation, whilst sympathetically centre around the Grade ll listed building. The scheme is in a prime location situated adjacent to the university. We look forward to progressing to the construction phase and regenerating this site.”
