Resolution Property has secured planning permission to convert the Vantage office building in Brentford, West London, into a residential development.

Under the approved plans, the 12-storey building, which offers circa 117,000 sq ft of office space, will be repurposed into 178 residential units.

The existing building is partially let to office tenants and the office also has a large open car park to the rear which already benefits from a residential zoning in the local plan, making further residential development of the site an option.

Resolution Property acquired the circa 2.1-acre site in 2019 on behalf of its investors and has undertaken an extensive refurbishment of the office building in recent years.

Stuart Lang, head of asset management at Resolution Property, said: “Brentford has long been a vibrant hub for both business and residential communities, with the Golden Mile playing a pivotal role in its historical and economic evolution. Securing planning permission to transform Vantage into high-quality residential accommodation is a significant step forward and reflects the strong demand for well-located homes in this dynamic area.

“With London’s growing need for housing, particularly in areas primed for regeneration, this project allows us to maximise the potential of an existing site while contributing to the long-term vibrancy of Brentford and the wider Great West Corridor. The emergence of new residential and commercial projects in the local area reinforces its status as a growing hub for investment and regeneration.”

Resolution Property was assisted by P&BC, Spratley’s and DP9 in securing planning permission.
