Barratt Homes has secured planning consent for Phase 1 of its Highover Farm development in Hitchin.
The approval covers the first 236 homes at the 700-unit development and an area of open space containing a play park for children. The scheme will comprise a mix of one- to five-bedroom homes, approximately 40% of which will be affordable.
The overall scheme will deliver 500 sq m of neighbourhood facilities including a community hub, a new two-form entry primary school, open space including the creation of the new centrally located Highfield Park, play areas and green infrastructure.
