Croudace Homes has appointed James Haldron as commercial director for the company’s North Thames region.
Haldron, who has more than 20 years of industry experience, previously worked for Lovell and Kier Living. He joined Kier as a managing quantity surveyor and was later promoted to commercial director.
Haldron said: “My career has seen me work both on the contracting side and the private development side, which is advantageous for my role with Croudace. I understand the intricacies of commercial success, and have clear aspirations to improve functionalities, from day-to-day processes and procedures to large-scale procedures, all of which will hopefully allow Croudace to profit from and thrive as we work towards our CEO’s 10-year growth strategy.
“A crucial part of commercial success is upskilling our current 10-strong team by providing them with the opportunities to gain experience and take on additional responsibility to help progress their careers. Nurturing existing talent will be far more beneficial and rewarding for the department and indeed the business, and given my own early beginning as an apprentice, I am keen to support the next generation. I would also like to expand our supply chain and invite contractors who may not have previously worked with Croudace to get in touch directly via our website.”
Adrian Watts, chief executive officer at Croudace Homes, added: “Commercial success is absolutely critical in achieving our ambitious growth targets to more than double our revenue and housing delivery over the next decade. We have appointed two commercial directors this year to cover our core North Thames and South Thames regions, which will give the regions autonomy to make strategic decisions, optimise revenue generation while ensuring best practices and cost control and provide important training opportunities for our existing staff.
